Catherine Zehr’s “Queen’s Pointed Crown” tiara design is a regal, dramatic tiara, available to build in three color combinations. The first, in crystal and light sapphire, is perfect for a Snow Queen, both elegant and icy, and is a Level 3 tiara build.
The second color combination, Siam, Tangerine, and Topaz, is perfect for a Firebird, and the third color combination, Jet, Black Diamond, and Amethyst, is perfect for Carabosse, the evil fairy in The Sleeping Beauty.
These two color combinations can be done “as-is” as Level 3 tiara builds, OR as a Level 4 Course, with the addition of a specially-wired support headband on which to add a dramatic feathered headpiece.
As with all advanced-level kits, you are encouraged to make the design your own by arranging the stones supplied in any way you want! We encourage you to bring your own rhinestones and decorative gems to further personalize this design.
For Level 4 Projects, you must have taken a Level 3 class, or have permission from the instructor. To be considered, please email several detailed (inside and outside) images of your work to [email protected]. Students must already know frame-building techniques and how to properly string both rose montees and chaton montees.

Her favorite part of the creative process, by far, is creating the headpieces. She brings five new tiara designs to TutuSchool - Charlotte.
